THE LAW OF SEPARATION

Question What is one item you own that has a special meaning to you, and why? Sermon Summary In the original sermon pastor explored the concept of separation as a divine requirement for sonship and daughtership. God, being the ultimate discriminator, calls for His people to be set apart from the world and its ways. The sermon highlighted the painful yet necessary process of separation that leads to spiritual growth and deeper relationship with God. Through the life of Abraham and other biblical examples, we learned that separation is not just a church doctrine but a demand from God for us to be holy as He is holy. It is through this separation that we can become the vessels through which God can work and be glorified. Key Verses - 2 Corinthians 6:16-18 (KJV) - "16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty." - 1 Peter 1:16 (KJV) - "Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy." Questions 1. What does the concept of separation mean to you in your walk with God? 2. How can we reconcile the pain of separation with the promise of God's blessings? 3.
